Rachel Ryan

Rachel Ryan comes from consulting and corporate background, having spent the early part of her career successfully launching various products and services across both consumer and enterprise markets.

After spending 5 years, consulting and raising two kids, Rachel decided that her passion for finding great homes in great neighbourhoods would make an even greater career choice. Her own personal experiences with buying and selling real estate, as a client, have led her to realize that nothing replaces a loyal, dedicated expert on your side.

“The right real estate purchases have allowed me to realize some of my life goals – it’s an investment in your own happiness and future. Either you’re buying a house which you intend to turn into your home, reflective of your lifestyle and your roots; or you’re buying an investment, which you intend to use to support your financial goals and dreams. There is no ‘small’ real estate purchase – every transaction is impactful and meaningful and should be treated as such. That’s been my experience and something that I’d like to support others through.”

Although not native to Toronto, Rachel has lived in many great GTA neighbourhoods, fostering her love of the city. Living in areas like Mount Pleasant, South Parkdale, Bloor West, Roncey and Babypoint – plus a few investments in spots like the Danforth and the Beaches, Rachel has a broad knowledge base of both the practical and the fun when it comes to the “nooks and crannies” of the GTA. Now based in Old Markham Village – her experience has broadened to include the northeast York region.

With a desire to give back, Rachel is also School Council Chair and lead advocate/organizer for a large natural Playscape for her children’s school. One of her more recent volunteer activities is Board Member to OneSpark – a charity for women experiencing violence, helping them to create a simple business plan that outlines how they might generate income through self-employment, with the goal of contributing to a financial safety plan. OneSpark provides computers, business licences, microloans and mentoring to each woman in the program.

When leisure calls, Rachel’s top three choices for things to do? Choices would include; baking, sitting in the garden with a book or hiking through the woods, dog and children in tow. Tenacity and perseverance have seen her through two triathlons and a husband’s Ironman.
